Creating a fake is much easier and faster than exposing it. This was clearly demonstrated in 2020. But when the main wave of emotion passed, people began to look back and wonder, "What was really there?" But is it easy for a person to admit the mistake?
According to Andrey Krivosheev, general director of the agency Minsk-News, Chairman of the Belarusian Union of Journalists, it is very difficult to do so. "The main stopping point in the realization that you have been manipulated, you have been emotionally pumped, you have been sent to destroy your own state and society, you could suffer, your children could suffer if a coup d'etat really took place, is just an internal psychological factor," he said. It means that a person should stop and think and admit that he has been manipulated like a dummy. It is very hard for any person, including journalists, to admit this."
Andrey Krivosheev:
"A person will find dozens and hundreds of excuses and will put the blame on the state, on journalists, on deputies, on the President - on anyone, but not on himself.
The Belarusian state does a great deal to remove this internal psychological conflict. And very often it helps misguided citizens to overcome it in themselves. "Look at how many times the President has talked about the mistakes the Belarusian state has made. Look how often we journalists talk about it. After all, by doing so, we take joint responsibility with those people who were influenced by emotions, manipulated by our opponents in 2020. We give them our hand," said the head of the Belarusian Union of Journalists.
