On January 15, 1938, after the administrative reform, Mogilev, Vitebsk, Gomel and Minsk regions were formed. In honor of the jubilee, a meeting-requiem took place at the memorial of the Buinitskoye Field in Mogilev. Here during the Great Patriotic War for 23 heroic days, the townspeople, together with the Red Army, opposed the German army.
This year the inhabitants of the region expect numerous concert programs, historical scientific conferences, as well as the opening of new sites of social and industrial importance.
