Over 2 million people to be able to work remotely in digital economy of Belarus by 2035

Igor Mamonenko, member of the Presidium of the Republican Confederation of Entrepreneurship, stated that more than 2 million people will be able to work remotely in the digital economy of Belarus by 2035. According to national program "Belarus - IT Country", information technologies can become the main source of income for many citizens and businesses. The trend of remote will help people with disabilities improve their financial situation and be in demand on the labor market.

Igor Mamonenko, member of the Presidium of the Supreme Coordinating Council of the Republican Confederation of Entrepreneurship: "This isn't only about IT-specialists, but about any work on the Internet. There are hundreds of millions such jobs in the world and their number is growing. The world is simply becoming your work place with the advent of the Internet."

According to the World Labor Organization, the number of remotely employed in the world is growing. Their share has already reached almost 40% in Japan and the USA. This freelance segment is only being formed in Belarus. Experts claim that the high level of education of our people will increase the number of remotely employed every year.
