A climate research centre has been set up at the Belarusian Academy of Sciences to study global and regional climate changes. Among its main focus areas are assessing the impact of climate change on a number of the country’s economy branches and working out recommendations for their adaptation. The centre will also be working on reference books and normative documents in the spheres of agriculture, construction climatology, recreation and tourism.
