Ivan Misko awarded badge of honor "For Contribution to the Development of Culture in Belarus"

The Union of Artists of Belarus has turned 85. In connection with the anniversary, the outstanding figures of the national fine arts were awarded by the Ministry of Culture. Famous Belarusian sculptor, People's Artist of Belarus Ivan Misko was awarded the Badge of Honor "For Contribution to the Development of Culture of Belarus". The author of dozens of monuments, curator of collective works, mentor of young people Ivan Misko is best known as an artist of space theme. He personally knows cosmonauts, who are frequent guests in his studio in Minsk. Misko depicted Yuri Gagarin, Valentina Tereshkova in plastic. Now the sculptor is working on a monument to Oleg Novitsky, which will be installed in the small homeland of the Belarusian cosmonaut.

Another new projects of Misko, a monument to Yuri Gagarin, will be installed in the city of Gagarin, the birthplace of the first cosmonaut who flew around the Earth. The sculptor has also conceived a project dedicated to the aliens.
