Results of Alexander Lukashenko's visit to Far East
The world economy is being rebuilt, and our countries have space prospects here. During Alexander Lukashenko's visit to the Far East, specific decisions were made. Besides the law allowing Belarusian builders to work on the construction of the Vostochny cosmodrome, it was also agreed to finance the production of a new satellite, and Roskosmos will be common for the citizens of the Union State: the selection of Belarusian applicants for a flight into space is going on.
Lukashenko became the first foreign leader to visit the Vostochny launch site, which is a closed and top-secret facility. This fact emphasizes the highest degree of trust. And the leaders talked about it many times. They also discussed the mutual economy (the Belarusian-Russian trade turnover rose by a third last year), confrontation with sanctions, common projects with the Far East regions (and the President visited Primorye, too).
The Vostochny spaceport is the largest construction site in Russia. The territory of this large-scale facility is 700 square kilometers. This is the size of Bahrain or Singapore. Although the cosmodrome is still under construction, it already has something to show.
The administrative center of Amur Region became the starting point for journalists of the presidential pools.
The first facility for Soyuz rockets is already completed. Five successful launches were made last year alone. "Angara" is a new word in the space sphere. The launch complex is made for the future. With hydrogen refueling of the rocket it will be possible to send 37 tons into the orbit. These plans are still in development. And by the end of 2023, a lighter rocket is going to be launched from here.
On Cosmonautics Day, April 12, Vladimir Putin awarded the pilots-cosmonauts. Sergey Prokopyev, Alexander Skvortsov and Oleg Skripochka received the title of the Heroes of Russia.
Thanks to Belarusians, individual housing development will appear in Tsiolkovskoye. Earlier, the territory of the town at the Cosmodrome was special, closed. Only Russians could work. But on Friday, Vladimir Putin signed a law that allows to attract Belarusian specialists to the construction site. Our builders are expected at Vostochny, who are completing work on the nuclear power plant.
