Yuri Shevchuk: 9 years ago the armed forces of Belarus and our western neighbors have launched an ambitious project. Its goal was to create a unique complex for the storage and disposal of small arms: pistols and rifles. Experts assessed the prospects and achievements of our country in this field. As it turned out, the Belarusian model can be an excellent example for other countries.
There is a system of recycling of weapons at Zhlobin Metallurgical Plant.
The Belarusian military have made a big step in this direction when launched a joint project with the European Union. After this, our Western neighbors began to take an active part in the creation of a unique system for the storage and disposal of decommissioned armory in Belarus.
