The second forum of the association of universities of Belarus and Russia is being held in Minsk today. They discuss the potential of higher education within the framework of the Union State, as well as the digitalization of education and experience of working in COVID conditions. Taking into account the epidemiological situation, meetings are held online. In total, the forum is attended by about 80 universities from 2 countries.
Igor Karpenko, Minister of Education of Belarus: "We have about 1400 joint projects with Russian universities in the educational sphere, in the scientific sphere. The prospects are quite interesting. We will sign several agreements online. Some will be signed by the College tomorrow. We have quite a lot of interest in IT cooperation, and ideas for the digital transformation of education."
Valery Falkov, Minister of Science and Higher Education of Russia: "There were a lot of proposals regarding the financing of youth projects from the fund of the Union State. We agreed with our colleagues from the Ministry of Education, that we would form a line of proposals these days. And we will apply to the bodies of the Union State in order to give more opportunities for students and teachers to implement projects at the expense of the CIS money."
Within the framework of the visit to Minsk, a delegation of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Russia will visit a number of educational institutions. In particular, Plekhanov Russian University of Economics, Polytechnic experimental plant of the Belarusian National Technical University, Minsk College of Electronics and others.
