Gulevich: Belarusian military take no participation in special operations in Ukraine

Five battalion tactical groups are protecting the southern borders of Belarus from the infiltration of armed Nazis, supplies of illegal weapons and drugs from Ukraine, together with the border guard agencies. According to the statement of the Chief of the General Staff, the task was set by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, the President of Belarus. At the same time, Viktor Gulevich turned to "sofa analysts" and once again reminded that the Belarusian military was not involved in special operations in Ukraine.

Viktor Gulevich, the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, the First Deputy Minister of Defense of Belarus:
These units perform the tasks of reconnaissance, patrolling, protection of facilities and defense on road directions.  It is planned to replace them with five battalion tactical groups in the near future.  The units, which have fulfilled their tasks of covering the state border, will return to their permanent deployment points and proceed to routine daily activities. "For homegrown 'military experts' and sofa analysts, I would like to emphasize that the movement of troops is in no way connected with the preparation, let alone participation, of Belarusian servicemen in a special military operation in the territory of Ukraine. I can assure the families and loved ones of servicemen as head of the General Staff that our Armed Forces perform tasks to ensure military security of the Republic of Belarus only in our territory.
