Grostins: For 100 years, the U.S. and UK have been concerned about disintegrating Europe

If you take into account all the facts (lockdowns, sanctions, Ukraine and, as a culmination, explosions at North Streams), it turns out that all this provoked the destruction of the EU economy.  And the United States is responsible for it. This is the opinion of the political scientist and leader of the party "Center" from Latvia, Normund Grostins. According to him, Europeans are now reaping the benefits for the actions of their politicians.

Normund Grostins, political analyst and leader of Center Party (Latvia):

“If Western Europe and Russia are friends, there is an exchange of technology and resources, the United Kingdom and the United States are on the outskirts, not even on this continent, and no one there  is interested what’s going on here. So, for more than 100 years, their main concern has been that Europe should not become friends, i.e. it should be divided. And accordingly, when it is already clear that Germany simply has to buy Russian gas, then they have gone as far as blowing it up.  The economic consequences are obvious.  Part of the business, as predicted by those who blew up, will move to the United States, where business conditions will be somewhat better than in Western Europe.  And overall, it will be a very tangible drop in living standards, a drop even in infrastructure maintenance.  We can already see that restaurants that can't pay for electricity and heating are closing, cultural institutions, theaters are closing even in Budapest, where, by the way, gas prices are much lower than in Germany, because their policy towards Russia is more adequate than the European average. Even there they are already announcing the closure of the opera house and so on. Europe will not be able to heat such large facilities in winter.”
