Grodno Region experiencing real tourist boom

23 августа 2022
After a slight decline caused by Covid restrictions, the Grodno Region is experiencing a real tourist boom. In half a year there were about 300 thousand guests and export of tourist services amounted to almost 4.5 million dollars. Overcrowded hotels, agro-homesteads and health resorts. Travellers from Russia, guests from all Belarusian regions and EU countries come to the western region.

All tourist routes in Grodno lead to the Castle Hill. A year ago the reconstruction of the Old Castle was finished and new expositions opened there. The site is in great demand among travelers.

The Old and New Castles are probably the most popular tourist attractions in Grodno. You can meet guests here at weekends and on weekdays as well. In total, since the beginning of the year, there have been about 100 thousand people.

The real tourist boom is traditionally in summer. The tour guides have to work almost without days off.

Health tourism is also on the rise now. The health resorts of the region (due to quality-price ratio of services) create serious competition to their colleagues from the neighboring countries.

The total export of tourist services in Grodno Region amounted to almost $4,5 million. It was only for six months. The figure is significant for the region, taking into account the two-year decline due to the Covid restrictions.

At the moment, about 300 thousand tourists have visited us (according to the current data). It is 30% more than during the same period of 2021.
