The Belarusian Institute for Strategic Research conducted a sociological survey on the topic of education. More than 10 thousand people, including teachers and parents, took part in the survey. Several methods were used including online surveys and in-depth interviews. Most of the questions concerned approaches to the CT and changes in the admission campaign. For example, what form of tests is the most optimal and to what extent our educational system meets the needs of economy? Preliminary results were discussed with the Minister of Education and university rectors.

Valentin Starichenok, analyst at Belarusian Institute for Strategic Studies:

“The main criterion for selecting students is the level of their knowledge and competences. The second criterion is the level of motivation and readiness to learn and work. The survey shows that young people most often say that they are ready to study hard, they want to get higher education. And a significant number of the population is set on higher education in our country.

The experts also noted that the quality of human capital that we have in our country today is at a high position. And all this is thanks to the level of training  and education of our young people.”
