State awards given to representatives of journalism and culture

State awards for their talent and productive work were given to representatives of journalism and culture. The relevant decree was signed today by President Alexander Lukashenko.

The order of Francysk Skaryna was awarded to the director of the Belarusian office of the Interstate TV and Radio Company Mir - Vladimir Pertsov. At the highest level, efforts were made to create a unified information space and improve the Belarusian-Russian cooperation in television.

Prestigious awards were awarded to several bright journalists of the TV News Agency. The medal of Francysk Skaryna was awarded to Olga Makei, the head of the department of political observers of the ATN. Olga Makei is the author of creative reports about politics and economics, as well as programmes on pressing world topics.

The President also highly commended the efforts of Deputy Director of the TV News Agency - Sergey Khamentovsky in highlighting important events in the country and abroad. The President also noted the work of Natalia Zhdanovich, the Deputy Head of the Special Projects Department, a talented director who always has an unconventional view of the current events.

A number of journalists also received acknowledgments of the President of Belarus. For example, the deputy head of the department of BelTA, Evgeny Vanshin received an award for his professional skills and personal contribution to the coverage of important social and political events.

A well-known representative of the sphere of culture was also noted. The title of the Honoured Artist of the Republic of Belarus was awarded to the singer Alexander Solodukha.
