The Belarusian heritage was discussed today at the Institute of History of the National Academy of Sciences. Historical science is important to counteract attempts at distortion and falsification. And as noted Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko, the main task is to shape people's historical worldview, national consciousness and attitude towards the ongoing processes. It is very important that efforts were focused on the right priorities.
Prime Minister instructed the Institute to identify and implement archaeological projects of importance to the Belarusian statehood. In his opinion, the identification of the place, where Minsk originated is very important.
Scientific substantiation is needed, moreover that the Belarusian capital will celebrate its thousandth anniversary in a few decades.
Prime Minister instructed the Institute to identify and implement some important archaeological projects for the Belarusian statehood
"We, unfortunately, have not created anything similar to what has been done in the archaeological museum in Berestye based on the results of the excavations that have been conducted in the city castle. We are talking about the fact that it is now possible to return to this issue. It is impossible to carry out a large-scale excavation in the Belarusian capital," said the head of the government.
However, according to him, it is necessary to find the places, which can be studied by archaeologists and where it is possible to carry out museification at a modern technical level. "We need to let the citizens and guests of Minsk see that this is a city with centuries-old history," said Roman Golovchenko.
Journalists also asked the Prime Minister about the current realities
Journalists asked Prime Minister about current realities, in particular, about government support measures for enterprises of all forms of ownership, which were asked to develop following the meeting with the President. I am talking about the reduction of terms for VAT refund, installment payments on taxes and duties. Each decision shall be discussed in detail at meetings of the situational staff.
It is about reducing the terms of VAT refund, installments of taxes and duties.
"First of all we are talking about such measures of fiscal policy as granting installments and deferrals on VAT payments, reduction of terms of VAT refund. We have set a task that in the near future a decision should be made to radically reduce these terms so that the companies would not have a cash gap associated with the payment of value added tax," said the head of the Belarusian government.
According to him, the support measures will relate to the granting of deferrals and installments on payment of not only taxes but also import duties. Such a decision is being prepared. It is planned that the local authorities will decide not to increase property tax rates for businesses this year.
A decision on the inadmissibility of increasing the base rental rate has been taken as well. It is already fixed in Belarusian rubles. All of this should generally restrain the price of goods for the buyer.
