Alexander Lukashenko has sent messages of congratulations to the leaders of Russia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Georgia. In his message of congratulations to the President of Russia, the Head of State pointed out that Victory Day is dear to Belarusians and Russians in a special way.

Alexander Lukashenko, President of the Republic of Belarus: "Decades pass, generations change, but the Great Victory as a symbol of national pride, military glory, unity and mutual trust continues to live in the hearts of millions of people. The today's dramatic events clearly show that only together, keeping the memory of the heroic and at the same time tragic days of the Great Patriotic War, understanding the importance of its lessons, we can give a decent response to modern challenges and threats".

In his message of congratulations to the people of Ukraine on the 77th anniversary of the Victory Alexander Lukashenko said:

"In these difficult times, not only for Ukraine but also for all of Europe, we, more than ever, feel the value of peace and stability. The tragic events on the Ukrainian land show that the terrible experience gained in the first half of the 20th century means nothing to many people. The Soviet people bore the enormous burden of pain and suffering on their shoulders ensuring their decisive role in the victory over fascism and the liberation of the entire world from the brown plague.  And today no one and nowhere will be able to distort the historical truth to annihilate the role of our ancestors in the defeat of this invasion. The gratitude of the Belarusians to all the Ukrainians, veterans of the Great Patriotic War, who by their feat of arms made an invaluable contribution to the liberation of Belarus and the entire continent, will remain forever in our hearts and will never depend on the political state of affairs".

Our President also congratulated the presidents of the Government of Russia, the Federation Council, the State Duma, the Executive Committee of the CIS, the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission, the Secretary of State of the Union State, the Secretary General of the CSTO and Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia.

Alexander Lukashenko and the Belarusian people are also receiving numerous congratulations on the Victory Anniversary from foreign leaders and prominent figures in various fields.
