Spiky becomes official hockey World Cup 2021 mascot

The official mascot of the World Ice Hockey Championship, which will be held in Belarus and Latvia in May next year, has been selected. It became Hedgehog Spiky.

The decision was announced at the ceremony in the NOC Hall of Olympic Glory today. More than 100 works from the representatives of two countries applied for the title of the main symbol. 30 of them were shown to the public.

The World Cup, which will be held from May 7 to 23 in 2021, will be hosted by Minsk and Riga.
