European Parliament approves agreements with Belarus on visa facilitation and readmission

At the meeting of the European Parliament the majority of deputies voted for the adoption of both documents. The agreements will be sent to the Council of the European Union for signing, after which Belarus and the EU will be able to exchange instruments of ratification and thus complete the ratification procedure. The effective date of the documents shall be moved to at least July. The agreement on visas provides for reduction of the Schengen visa for Belarusians to €35. Belarusian visa for EU citizens will also be €35.
