The whole globe congratulates Belarusians and Head of State on Independence Day

The world leaders, presidents and prime ministers of major powers, heads of international organizations, members of royal families and famous politicians from the entire globe congratulate Belarusians on Independence Day, the main national holiday. 

Traditionally, the first telegrams come from the heads of CIS countries. Thus, Russian President Vladimir Putin noted that relations between our countries are developing in the spirit of friendship and alliance, productive bilateral cooperation, coordination of efforts in the areas of foreign policy and defense, with large-scale joint projects being implemented.

Vladimir Putin, President of Russia: "I am confident that together we will be able to ensure further expansion of Russian-Belarusian ties in all areas, as well as constructive interaction within the framework of the Union State, Eurasian Economic Union, CSTO and CIS". 

Congratulations were also sent by the CIS Executive Secretary Sergei Lebedev, CSTO Secretary General Stanislav Zas. Belarus also received the best wishes on the occasion of Independence Day from the leaders of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenitsan, Kyrgyzstan and Moldova.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of Kazakhstan: "Under your strong leadership, the Republic of Belarus has become an authoritative and stable state. Impressive success has been achieved in the implementation of social and economic reforms, increasing the prestige of the country on the world stage".

The first president of Kazakhstan also sent a congratulatory message. Nursultan Nazarbayev wished the Belarusian leader good health and new achievements, and peace and prosperity to the people of Belarus.  Congratulations were also received from the heads of the European Union countries. Thus, the best wishes for  well-being and a happy future for the Belarusian people were conveyed by Austrian Federal President Alexander Van der Bellen. And German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier noted that in recent years, the bilateral relations have become significantly more intense.


Sincere wishes came from Vatican


Pope Francis: "On the day when Belarus marks the Independence Day, I cordially congratulate you and the entire Belarusian people. I will pray and ask God for a decent and peaceful life in justice, brotherhood and health for the Belarusian people, which is especially important in this difficult time of the pandemic".

American leader Donald Trump stressed in his congratulations that the USA remains a firm supporter of the independence and sovereignty of Belarus. And UN Secretary General António Guterres noted that it is extremely important for our country to participate in the work of the United Nations throughout the international agenda. The best wishes for prosperity and wellbeing to the people of Belarus were also conveyed by the heads of China, India, Italy, Sweden, Hungary, Bulgaria, Singapore, Japan, Turkey, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Venezuela, Pakistan and many other states.
