Speaking about the work with children in Donbass, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Belarusian Republican Youth Union Alexander Lukyanov said in an interview to the program "Be on Time Before Midnight" that this is a very sensitive area. "It gets to your heart when you know that very close by, 300-400 km down to the southern border, there are children who for eight years have been living in conditions that, to put it mildly, differ from the conditions in which our children are growing, developing.

Alexander Lukyanov, first secretary of the BNYU Central Committee:

“The President stressed that Belarus helps everyone - Ukrainians, residents of Donbass, and residents of the republics, the new entities of the Russian Federation. Because we are that kind of people. And our organization is like that.

When the volunteer movement "Kind Heart" learned that children were coming to us at the invitation of the President of Belarus, they offered their help. "We are very happy that this help was very much in demand. They need support. The children, while they were moving through Russia, needed help with water supply, medicines, hygiene products and SIM cards. Guys from Donbas and liberated territories contacted the regional representatives of the Young Guard of United Russia through us in order to ensure the delivery of these items so they could move comfortably.”

Alexander Lukyanov, first secretary of the BNYU Central Committee:

“With all due respect to the whole ideological vertical, none of the ideologists will ever deliver information and hit exactly the heart of our young people, as their peers from the Donbas do. Because these are guys 10-12 and 14 years old exactly the same, but who talk about a slightly different life, which turned out as a result of ill-conceived actions of various leaders of the neighboring republic, which ultimately led to a complete collapse and collapse, to the suffering of millions of people.”

Alexander Lukyanov, first secretary of the BNYU Central Committee:

“And when our guys get into it, understand, realize, I see that, of course, both the consciousness and the perception of the world that is now formed in the Republic of Belarus changes.”
