"If we try to return to Lithuania, we will be killed" - Lithuanian border guards push Syrians into territory of Belarus

31 августа 2022

Lithuanian law enforcement officers again demonstrate their brutal policy towards the refugees.  Today, Belarusian border guards found three Syrian citizens in  Grodno Region. This is reported by the Border Guard Committee of our country. The foreigners said they had been detained in Lithuania and then violently pushed into the territory of our country by beating them with rubber sticks and using tasers.  Belarusian border guards provided first aid.

Migrants: They used tasers on our faces and backs. They took us and pushed us into Belarus. They photographed our passports and told us that if we tried to return to Lithuania they would kill us.

Despite the criticism of international human rights organizations, Lithuania continues to openly violate all norms of humanitarian law, with the tacit consent of the European Union.
