Yelfimov: CSTO passes maturity and efficiency test

11 января 2022

The CSTO has passed the test of maturity and efficiency. This is the opinion of the entire expert community. The deployment of peacekeeping forces in Kazakhstan has greatly helped to restore order and ensure stability. The organization has sent a signal to the world that the CSTO member states will act as one to suppress any kind of risks and threats.

Vadim Yelfimov, political scientist:

The CSTO has successfully passed the test of seriousness, efficiency, operability, and coherence. Our opponents intended to bring some kind of discord to the CSTO, but it did not work. First of all, the very threats that the West created for us contributed to this. That is, the leaders of all states, as the summit showed, are already aware of the reality of these threats: external influence, attempts to make a coup d'etat in our countries as well. Therefore, from this point of view, a coordinated CSTO policy has ceased to be just a policy; it is already a military-political reality that all our opponents will have to reckon with.
