Deputies adopt amendments to law on state symbols

The deputies adopted amendments to the law on state symbols in the second reading. The number of reasons for using the state flag is expanding. This additionally includes sports competitions, mass sports, cultural and other events. According to the deputies, the updated law will contribute to the growth of patriotism and respect for their symbols.

The agenda of today's meeting also includes amendments to the legislation on advertising. Deputies supported the ban on commercial sound information in public transport. And one more innovation, the advertiser is obliged to stop the delivery of commercial leaflets to the mailbox.

Oksana Gaiduk, Deputy Chairman of the Standing Commission of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus: "Each leaflet contains the initiators and legal address of the distributor or advertiser. The applicant applies there by e-mail or a written request. The form is enshrined as the obligation of the distributor to stop delivering the advertisement. Control will be provided for the Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade."

The deputies adopted in the first reading amendments to the laws on mediation, and also ratified the EAEU trademark treaty.
