Belarus and Venezuela have much in common, and most importantly - a single view of the preservation of peace, said Ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic José Joaquin Boggiano Pericchi today at a celebratory event on the occasion of the 207th anniversary of Venezuela's independence, which was held in Minsk in the square of Simon Bolivar.
The diplomat stressed the symbolism of the fact that a few days ago the Independence Day of Belarus was celebrated, and today a similar holiday is celebrated in Venezuela.
The event was attended by representatives of state bodies, diplomatic corps, NGOs, students and cadets of the Venezuelan Military Academy of Belarus. The guests laid flowers to the monument of Simon Bolivar.
