Belarus celebrates the Day of National Unity

17 сентября 2022
Our country celebrates a new state holiday today, the National Unity Day. This is an important historical moment, when justice was restored and our country, torn into Western and Eastern Belarus, was united. 83 years ago, the liberation campaign of the Red Army put an end to the Polish occupation of Western Belarus which had dragged on for almost two decades.

This day is a symbol of the continuity of generations, of the steadfastness of the Belarusian nation and statehood. It is also a tribute of memory and respect to those thanks to whom we live in peace and harmony.

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko congratulated his compatriots on the National Unity Day.
