Belarusian diplomatic missions give homage to exploit of Soviet victors

May 9 is a holiday that unites the people who understand the true value of the Victory.

A tribute to the feat of arms of the victors is invariably paid by the staff of our country's diplomatic missions. Flowers to the monuments were laid in the Czech Republic. 

In Armenia a wreath was laid at the eternal flame near the monument "Mother Armenia". Flowers were also laid at the monument to the fallen Soviet soldiers, located at the cemetery "Vestre Gravlund" of the Norwegian capital.

Dmitry Mironchik, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Sweden and Norway: "We are grateful to the Norwegians for the way they take care of the graves of the Soviet soldiers. The Norwegian party has conveyed the information about the place of burial of a Soviet prisoner of war Yegor Zaichikov, a native of Gomel Region".

The Ambassador of Belarus to Spain laid flowers at the monument to Spanish citizens who died for the liberation of Europe from Nazism.

Diplomatic officials of our country pay tribute in different states on behalf of the Belarusian people.

Ceremonies have been held in Austria, Bulgaria, Germany, Israel, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, the USA and a number of other countries.
