Gomel region leads in turnout in 4th day of early voting

Early voting to the House of Representatives continues in Belarus. The turnout was 19.43% for 3 days. Gomel region is among the leaders in voter participation. Many athletes came in advance to vote i and will be busy on the main election day. Gomel acrobat gymnast Arthur Belyakov, who won gold at the II European Games, silver at the World Cup and European Championship, Vyacheslav Makarenko, Honored Master of Sports of Belarus in Greco-Roman wrestling, bronze medalist of the Olympic Games in Athens, coach for a young generation of athletes, took advantage of the early voting.

Arthur Belyakov: “I’ve only come from the European Championship. Voting is everyone’s civic duty. I think that if a person doesn’t vote, he has no right to criticize the authorities."

The last day of early voting will be tomorrow, November 16. 6 million 900 thousand people are included in the voter lists.
