World Skills championship opens in Kazan

Thousands of young professionals from 63 countries came to Kazan to demonstrate their skills at World-Skills championship. 

World Skills is also called the Olympics for workers. Its purpose is to increase the prestige and popularity of working professions. The championship is held every two years, and usually it involves young people from 18 to 22.

This year, young professionals will compete in 56 competencies. Belarusians are involved in more than 30 ones including services, medicine, jewelry, design, construction, furniture manufacturing, car painting, welding and more. For everyone, this is a chance not only to show one’s skills, but also to find a good job in the future. 

World Skills is also a battle of mind and erudition. Participants will demonstrate 3D modeling of computer games, will become developers of new IT programs, as well as hold competitions of drones.

All delegates will be accommodated in the World Skills village. This is a modern, environmentally friendly residential complex for 5.5 thousand people.
