During the years of independence Belarus has turned into a prosperous social state. We are proud of our medicine. In 2021, more than 2,300 outpatient clinics and outpatients clinics, 593 hospitals and 142 emergency stations provided medical care to the population.
Our surgeons performed 988 kidney, liver and heart transplants. The exports of medical services grew by almost a quarter last year. Belarus earned more than $41 million.
There are about 120 patients in the Minsk Oncologic Center where they are undergoing radiotherapy and about 150 outpatients. New technologies make it possible not only to improve the quality of life of the patients, but also to reduce the side effects of treatment. In general, radiation therapy is a teamwork of our oncologists, radiologists, medical physicists, technicians and nurses. The contribution of Belarusian medicine in the care of prematurely born infants is invaluable. The survival rate is 80%.
