The conversation of Alexander Lukashenko with experts and representatives of the media space kept the information field of not only our country, but also the neighboring and far-abroad countries in suspense all last day. Among the guests there were representatives of mass media from Lithuania, Ukraine, Russia, USA and Great Britain - a total of 12 countries. The audience is even wider. A number of questions of the "Big Conversation", predictably, concerned the sanctions rhetoric of the West and the work of Belarusian enterprises in these conditions. Thus, Alexander Lukashenko responded to Lithuania's threats to stop the transit of potash fertilizers. In this case, Belarus will redirect the flow to other ports in Russia. As for certain politicians, the President recommended them to think more carefully before making decisions.
Belarus is a springboard to Russia. Today, from the high rostrum of European politicians, Western politicians are calling to do away with Belarus and turn the country into a raw materials appendage of Europe. The President has responded to all, sometimes quite sharply, but always honestly and deeply immersing in the subject. The European sanctions are in fact a punitive operation in the modern manner, but Belarus is not its target. They have also imposed sanctions on Russia much earlier, but our neighbor imposes an embargo. Then a diplomatic war was fought. They decided not to act directly. Belarus is a springboard to Russia. But we have become a bone in the throat of the collective West. The next stage is to act directly against the Union State. But our common history of victors and the brotherly ties that can't be destroyed is an ironclad answer.
The President on integration with Russia: equal rights are at the core
"Our country has never been against the closest union with Russia, if equal conditions and equality are the basis," said the head of state. As for last year's events, they have brought the states closer together and put a lot of things in place. The forthcoming Supreme State Council will give a clear idea of how the partnership in the economy will develop further. Road maps have been reformatted into alliance programs.
The topics of the meeting included foreign policy of Belarus, relations with Ukraine and Lithuania, modern geopolitics and power scenarios of color revolutions. Much was said about the traitors and last year's protests. Separate questions on the events of August 2020, voiced by the American journalists, caused a heated discussion in the hall.
