Over 100 Belarusians return home from United Arab Emirates

Belavia charter flight took 165 passengers to Minsk. Most of them are Belarusians, and there were also citizens of Lithuania, Latvia and Ukraine, Estonia, Russia, Moldova, France and Turkey on board. For many of them, transit through our country is the only way they can return home.

According to the Foreign Ministry, almost 5600 Belarusians have received various kinds of assistance in their return to their homeland. The national air carrier Belavia connects airports in 15 countries, including Germany, Spain, the Netherlands, Sweden and the UK. Chartered flights are also organized.

Today, India (including Goa state), Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Thailand and Indonesia remain the main problem regions of mass concentration of Belarusians. The Foreign Ministry and the interested government agencies are studying all possible options for the prompt delivery of our citizens back home.
