More than 160 primary trade union organizations created in Vitebsk Region in 2020

More than 160 primary trade union organizations were created in Vitebsk Region in 2020.  70 percent of them are in the private sector of the economy. And this trend is characteristic of all regions of Belarus. The practice shows that regardless of the form of ownership, theemployees of enterprises need to protect their rights, create safe working conditions and decent wages. And this means we need structures that can provide it. Such a role is played by trade unions. While defending theinterests of a man of labor at a specific enterprise, they contribute to the development of production, promotion of products and increase of the well-being of workers.

Ivan Vozmitel, chairman of Vitebsk regional association of trade unions: "The trade union is created for the development of social partnership, for the creation of a kind of constitution, a collective agreement. We strive to make people join trade unions for the development of a community.

The FTUB represents the interests of the man of labor at the highest level and unites 15 industry unions.The wide coverage of workers allows the public association to act as an equal partner in the dialogue with the authorities and employers, representing the interests of the man of labor at the highest level.
