The unification of economic potentials, Minsk and Moscow, will be a good answer to the sanctions pressure of the West, Vladimir Andreychenko, said the speaker of the lower chamber of the parliament, while opening the autumn session. Today the deputies have started legislating. The Parliamentarians must get involved in solving this important task. The head of state instructed deputies and senators to do this.
Contrary to the difficult conditions, the Belarusian economy is growing. And the parliamentarians' forthcoming work will be aimed at improving the economic conditions. Belarus welcomes investors, but they should work in our market in an honest and fair manner, respecting the requirements of socially-oriented economy, the speaker underlined. And we have to maintain a strong social policy. And for those who work to undermine the national economy, Belarus will respond harshly: the parliament at this session has already voted in the first reading for the introduction of criminal liability for calls to impose sanctions against our country. There are about 10 documents on the agenda today. Among them there is a bill on amending the Constitution of Belarus. The deputies have already passed it in the second reading. The deputies plan to consider 20 bills during the autumn session. They include amendments to the Criminal Code, the draft law on tourism, the Education Code, and other documents.
