The state flag of Belarus as well as a copy of the Victory Banner have been raised on Mount Everest. It took an international team of climbers almost a month to make the most difficult ascent and, despite all the difficulties, set the landmark symbols for our country on the highest point of the planet.
According to the Federation of Trade Unions, it is their joint project with the Belarusian Federation of Mountain Climbers. It was launched back in April on the Barrow of Glory, one of the main symbols of the Belarusian people's struggle for peace and independence.
