Belarusian plane delivers humanitarian aid to China

Il-76 flew from Machulishchi airfield near Minsk to deliver the most necessary things in the fight against a new type of virus.  Before going off, the pilots and rescuers put on respirators to protect against coronavirus. The personal protective equipment is now in short supply in the Middle Kingdom. Dressing gowns, gloves, shoe covers, face masks and overalls, an extensive list of disinfectants: antibacterial soap, iodine and other medicines.

More than 560 people have already become victims of coronavirus. Over 28 thousand are infected. The World Health Organization warns that so far there is no drug in the world that can effectively treat Wuhan pneumonia. 

Yuri Rabko, Counselor and Envoy of the Belarusian Embassy in China: “15 Belarusian citizens have been evacuated. This is all who asked for help. They are all evacuated from Hubei, Wuhan."

Belarus was one of the first to provide humanitarian assistance to China in connection with the epidemic of a new type of coronavirus. Trucks with humanitarian aid are transported to another plane, which flies to Wuhan on a special flight. The city needs personal protective equipment.

It was in Wuhan, Hubei Province, that the focus of the disease was identified. In total, this region accounts for 97% of deaths from infection of a new type of coronavirus.
