Typically, such intervention is performed under deep general anesthesia. But, in this case the doctors had to take a risk. Surgeons of the Minsk Regional Clinical Hospital have been carrying out their work for 8 hours. The operation was completed successfully. A resident of Minsk region is already preparing for discharge. There will be a period of rehabilitation, but the doctors make optimistic forecasts: the patient's life is unlikely to be fundamentally different from what it was before the operation.

Every year, Belarusian doctors conduct several thousand neurosurgeries, including 2-3 thousand highly technical and complex interventions. Such assistance is provided not only to residents of the country, but also to foreigners. The most frequent patients of Belarusian clinics are those from Russia, Ukraine, Lithuania as well as the Middle East.
