The draft law was introduced to the Parliament by the President. It has been proposed to toughen responsibility for driving while intoxicated and issuing driving licenses to such drivers. As a result, the fines will be increased up to 10 million rubles. The deputies also suggested toughening criminal sanctions.
The draft bill is being presented by Prosecutor General Alexander Konyukov. The MPs have decided to review the bill in two readings to speed up its entry into force.
