Belarus’ resolution on improving coordination of efforts against trafficking in persons received support at the UN. The initiative calls for closer coordination of national mechanisms in the fight against human trafficking.

In particular, the UN member states supported the proposal of Belarus to hold a meeting at the level of the heads of the inter-agency coordination group on combating trafficking in persons.

The document notes the impact of information and communication technologies and the Internet on the spread of this dangerous phenomenon. Therefore, it calls for synthesizing information on this issue and making it available to all states.
