This has been stated today by UNICEF Regional Director Marie-Pierre Poirier. For two days Minsk has been hosting an open dialogue between experts from 30 countries under the UNICEF auspices dedicated to the problems of violence, exploitation and abuse of children.
Such a high-level international conference on child protection has been held in Belarus for the first time at the country's initiative. Its participants, which is more than 150 people, have been exchanging views and, most importantly, practical experience in protecting children's rights.
According to Marie-Pierre Poirier, UNICEF stands ready to assist its Belarusian partners and continue working with other countries.
