The Belarusian delegation is going to participate in the major youth forum in the last thirty years. At the World Festival of Youth and Students, which will be held in Sochi in two weeks, our country will be represented by students from 27 universities and a dozen enterprises. The TV News Agency prepares a promotional video for the festival presenting Belarus as a state of quality higher education, a place for youth tourism, a country of sports. This year the host of the festival, the Russian Federation, is going to receive in Sochi and Moscow a record number of 20 thousand people from 150 countries. At the same time, more than two million people applied for participation. The selection in Sochi was serious.
The first world festival of youth and students was held in 1947 in Prague and became the longest in history, it lasted almost 6 weeks! It was attended by 17 thousand people from 71 countries. This year the festival movement turns 70. In 2017, for the first time in history, the festival will be held in two cities: Moscow and Sochi. The best Belarusian designers worked on the festival images. A young team of the Belarusian Railways is also going to participate in the festival.
The opening ceremony of the youth festival will take place in Sochi Olympic Park in 16 days.
