First census results: there are 9 million 413 thousand 446 Belarusians

Today, the National Statistics Committee announced the first results of the 2019 census. 95% of citizens of the republic took part in it, of which 22% corresponded via the Internet. Almost 54 percent of the population are women. Minsk confidently crossed the threshold of 2 million inhabitants. Last year’s census turned out to be cheaper than ten years ago — almost three times less money was spent.
