The story of the Belarusian girls kidnapped in Georgia had a happy ending. According to the Main Directorate for Combating Organized Crime, a man from Minsk addressed for help. He said that his ex-wife of 40 years and his two daughters aged 7 and 18 were kidnapped in Georgia and exposed to forced labor. His eldest daughter told him about it on the phone. Moreover, the girl sent her coordinates and added that she was going to be forced into marriage. It was found that for several years a woman from Minsk had been chatting in social networks with a foreigner, who persuaded her to sell apartment and move to Batumi to live with him. She failed to carry out the real estate deal. Nevertheless, her "lover" booked flights for her and her daughters for early April. Upon arrival, the Belarusian girls were taken to the mountains, the money and phones were taken away and they were forced to take care of the man's mother, who was critically ill.
With the assistance of the Belarusian embassy in Georgia, local police officers freed "prisoners" and detained the man who had been holding them. With the help of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus our nationals have already returned home.
