Belarusian State Committee of Food Industry is working out a concept of uniting the confectionary enterprises of the country into a single company. Centralizing the purchase of raw materials, logistics, advertising and marketing, as well as reducing internal competition will reduce the cost of manufactured products. But it will preserve the quality. That's the plan to win the store shelves. There are about 6 enterprises of the concern, which are well known both in Belarus and abroad. And this is a ticket to the top 100 world manufacturers of confectionery industry.
All food products imported into the Customs Union must meet specific requirements. At the same time, there are no common approaches. Tightening the approach and unifying the rules is not in the interests of competitors.
Belarus initiated the correction of the technical regulations of the Eurasian Economic Union to create common requirements for chocolate and chocolate products. Belarusian confectioners are not going to adjust to their neighbors, as well as to reduce the requirements, but just the opposite, as they conquer European markets.
A lot of resources have to be spent in order to maintain a high level of commercial work to effectively establish the processes of supply and receipt of raw materials at competitive prices. We can and must resist imports.
