Belavia replenishes its fleet. Today, the national carrier signed a lease for the purchase of 3 Embraer planes. This is the latest model of the Brazilian manufacturer with the image of the quietest and most environmentally friendly aircraft.
The long-term partnership between Belavia and the Brazilian Embraer has been continued. The top management of the largest aircraft manufacturer, leasing company and the Belarusian carrier seem to clarify the latest nuances of the transaction and move on to business, having signed the agreement on the purchase of three new airliners of E195 series at once.
Anatoly Gusarov, General Director of Belavia Airlines: "Today, fuel costs make up about 25% of all costs. This makes it possible to reduce overall costs by about 5-7%, up to 10%.”
The basic model of the aircraft was specially adapted to the needs of Belavia. For example, in the business class, the seats were arranged according to the formula 2 plus 1: two on one side and only one on the other. In general, passenger comfort for Embraer is a priority rule, the director assures.
The replenishment of the park will increase its presence in the sky, both in operating regular directions and in new routes. So, Belavia is going to discover Vienna, Tashkent and Aktau. The first plane right from the factory is expected in the sky over Minsk in December.
