Eight teams to represent Belarus in world programming championship semifinals

By Natalia Tarasyuk: Students of the Belarusian State University and the Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics, as well as Gomel, Grodno and Brest universities have managed to advance to the next stage of the world programming championship, which will be held in early December in St. Petersburg.

The championship quarterfinal took place in Minsk, featuring 59 teams, which is about 200 participants from Belarus, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Russia’s Kaliningrad region.

The winners will participate in the semifinals in St. Petersburg in December. Till May next year, the guys will have time to prepare for the final. The performance of Belarus’ representatives in Thailand can bring the sixth world programming championship medal to the country.
