Belarus among countries with highest level of human development

The global ranking of human development was announced today at the United Nations. Belarus rose 3 points and takes 50th place out of 189 countries. Norway, Switzerland and Ireland are at the top, at the end of the list is the Republic of Niger. Our country takes part in the annual study for more than 20 years, each time improving indicators. Belarus has been in the group of countries with the highest level of human development for 2 years.

International experts noted such positive indicators as socio-economic and environmental sustainability, the improving quality of education, increase in life expectancy, a high level of gender equality, protection of motherhood and childhood.
