The importance of the international structure was discussed at the meeting of the President with the CSTO Secretary General.
Since January this post has been held by Belarusian representative Stanislav Zas. The CSTO is responsible for peace consolidation, international and regional security. But the President started the conversation with the situation inside the country. The events of recent months in Belarus have shown how important it is to maintain stability in the conditions of unprecedented external pressure.
As for the CSTO, the association's activity was corrected by the pandemic. Most of the planned events are held online, and some operations and exercises have been postponed to a later date. So far, it is planned that the summit of the Organization will be held in early December in Moscow and still in a full-time format.
The conversation was very detailed. Stanislav Zas informed the President about all activities of the organization, as well as about the situation in the CSTO area of responsibility this year.
