Belarus and China join efforts to resist information aggression of West

26 апреля 2022

Belarus and China would like to get to know each other better through articles, blogs, radio and TV reports. The countries’ mass media are going to foster cooperation for broader knowledge and partnership. And at the same time, the Belarusian Union of Journalists and the All-Chinese Association of Journalists signed an agreement "On Exchange of Delegations and Cooperation". The meeting in the House of Press has brought together parliamentarians, diplomats, representatives of the Belarusian State University.

Andrei Krivosheev, Chairman of the Belarusian Union of Journalists:

"Fresh forces of journalists and bloggers need to be engaged to meet the demands of the times. We intend to expand interregional cooperation, which means to attract regional press to our work. This is a great reserve for us. I know media holdings in Belarus intend to open correspondent offices in China and they also need assistance from the All-China Association of Journalists. Cooperation between Belarusian and Chinese universities has a great potential."

I would like to add that this year we celebrate 30 years of diplomatic relations between Belarus and China. Progress in trade is also confirmed by the following fact: in January-February alone the mutual trade turnover exceeded $760 m, which is almost by one third higher than in the same period last year.
