Belarus and Italy discuss tasks of maintaining international peace

Representatives of the Italian Armed Forces and the Belarusian military department discussed the joint implementation of tasks to maintain international peace and security.

The basis of the Belarusian potential is the peacekeeping company of the 103rd separate guards airborne brigade. The unit consists of contractors. 5 Belarusian peacekeepers are now in Lebanon as part of the UN Interim Force. A technical agreement was signed between the military of Belarus and Italy on cooperation in October. The document provides for an increase of the Belarusians in the Lebanese mission.
