Armenia did not block any decision of the CSTO summit. This was stated to journalists by State Secretary of the Security Council of Belarus Alexander Volfovich, BelTA reports.
"Not a single decision has been blocked. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia have agreed on all the decisions and the declaration. This also speaks of mutual understanding, including by the Armenian side, in addressing the issues that are now entrusted to the Organization," said Alexander Volfovich.
While answering BELTA's question how sensitive the absence of the Armenian side at the summit is for the CSTO, he said: "Of course, we would like everyone to be present today: both heads of state and delegations. But the most important thing is that the Armenian side has agreed on all the decisions. But there are objective and subjective reasons, apparently, for which our Armenian colleagues decided not to come to Minsk today."
Nevertheless, Alexander Volfovich is sure that Armenia has no desire to leave the CSTO. "This is wrong, it will not go for the good of the people of Armenia, first of all, and for the good of the country," the State Secretary of the Security Council emphasized.
Earlier, Belarusian Foreign Minister Sergei Aleinik, responding to a question from BELTA, said that all decisions of the CSTO summit in Minsk will be legitimate despite the absence of the Armenian side.
