The resolution of the Lithuanian Seimas on the recognition of Svetlana Tikhanovskaya as the elected leader of Belarus is an unceremonious attempt to interfere in the internal affairs of Belarus. The resolution of the Lithuanian Seimas is an unceremonious attempt to interfere in the internal affairs of Belarus.
Andrei Savinykh, Chairman of the Standing Committee on International Affairs of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus: "We regret to state that the resolution of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania of 10 September is a rash and clumsy attempt to interfere in the internal affairs of Belarus. It testifies to the absurdity of the Lithuanian side's efforts to give importance and meaning to its political position. The Lithuanian MPs who voted in favour of this decision demonstrated a complete disregard for the standards of good neighbourliness, common sense and elementary parliamentary ethics. Moreover, by these actions, they undermine the credibility of all external mediation proposals.
